Nokia Calling All Innovators

In 15 September 2010, the results of Nokia Calling All Innovators Competition (2010) were announced in London during Nokia World Event 2010, and the beta version of Medica app was selected as a finalist in Life Improvement Category. Check here.

Bilmasry

In 31 October 2010, the first release of Medica app was eligible for the local Egyptian extension of Nokia Calling All Innovators Competition, named Bilmasry. Fortunately, Medica was selected as a prize winner. Check here.

World Summit Award

Having represented Egypt in Nokia’s world competition, the Egyptian Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) nominated Medica to represent Egypt in the nomination-only competition: World Summit Award for m-content 2010, which is organized by the United Nations. In 6 December 2010, Medica was selected as a first winner in m-Health & Environment Category. Check Medica’s entry here.

Samsung Real Dreams

In 13 December, and after 2 rounds of filtration of proposals for next innovative ideas, the short proposal of Medica Pro (which is the next phase of Medica app) was selected by Samsung Real Dreams judges among the best 10 proposals of Egyptian youth in 2010. The award included a cash prize of EGP10,000 as a kickoff budget to help the rubber hit the road. Check the check here.
